Why let a single bad day ruin a whole week?

January 25, 2021

“One swallow does not make a summer, neither does one fine day; similarly one day or brief time of happiness does not make a person entirely happy.” - Aristotle

Our happiest moments and memories don’t automatically wipe away things like worry, regret, or sorrow. We know this is true. We’ve experienced it. Why then, do we let a single bad day ruin a whole week? Why do we let a brief time of frustration affect the rest of our day, making us angry, irritated, and entirely unhappy? Don’t let moments of annoyance overshadow the rest of today.
